I played a free online game called Nexus War for years with my friends and some other unlikely people.. Like my mom and my boss. Thats how addictive it was. I ran the Army of Darkness faction on it and we were hardcore. Spent a good deal of my life on that game. We used to raid other factions, it was so fun.
Eventually it shut down cause he wasnt making money or something. A modified version is up though, think its called Nexus Clash now. But without my faction i lost interst.
Anyway i just wanted to say that Nexus War was the best multiplayer game i ever played.. And it had NO Graphics.. It was pure gameplay. Gameplay is everything. We haqd our own website and forum and we planned everything there and had a blast../

I've only recently been able to get into it, here is the list of ones I played, in order I downloaded - all are on iOS:
1) Clash of Clans (been playing for just over a year now)
2) Game of War (Left just before a year, left this game when I reached Lvl17/21 as it became too difficult to get online fast enough - in 8 hours - to protect troops. Working shifts doesn't help either. Made some great friends, 3 of which are now friends on Facebook with me and a few that we stay in contact on 'Line'. At one stage I even had two accounts, so that one city could be a farm for the main one).
3) Samurai Seige (In December it will be about a year as well, trying to see where we get with our new faction and friends!)
4) Boom Beach (recently became possible to have teams, to me this doesn't work too well so I go alone for now)
I've downloaded and deleted a few others that I didn't have a 'feel' for. I hope as I get older and able to afford things, I can get a landline and join these things on the PC. I will be getting a new PC in December I hope.
I enjoy CoC and SS the most at the moment and hope our faction becomes strong.
